Howe Township to Hold July 2 Public Hearing on Zoning Ordinance Changes

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Howe Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING to hear public comment with regard to the proposed Zoning Ordinance, amending and restating the current Township Zoning Ordinance for Howe Township, in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended. The Public Hearing shall be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Hope Eternal Unite Methodist Church, 2 Burd Road, Newport, PA 17074.

The Zoning Ordinance contains the rules, regulations, specifications and procedures to govern Zoning within the Township. The Ordinance includes among other things, definitions; individual zoning district regulations, conditional and permitted supplemental regulations, general regulations, off-street parking requirements, signage regulations, lighting regulations, ordinance amendment procedures, and administration and enforcement guidelines.

All interested persons may appear and be heard. Interested persons may also provide written comment prior to the Public Hearing. Any written comment must be received by 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, and should be directed to Nancy Cangioli, Township Secretary, Howe Township Municipal Building, 22 Cherry Road, Liverpool, Pennsylvania 17045.
Upon conclusion of the PUBLIC HEARING, the Board of Supervisors of Howe Township shall convene to its regularly scheduled Public Meeting beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the same location to consider the adoption of the proposed Zoning Ordinance.
