On July 8, 2020 at 5:00 PM there will be a meeting of the Howe Township Board of Supervisors at 53 Bucks Valley Road, Newport, PA 17074. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss and review the execution of a proposed intergovernmental cooperation agreement to join the Central Keystone Council of Governments in order to, among other things, authorize the Central Keystone Council of Governments to act as the Howe Township Building Code Official, to administer the Township Construction Code Ordinance, to provide services as the Township’s Zoning Officer and Floodplain Ordinance Administrator and to provide such other contractual services as the Board of Supervisors shall, in its sole discretion, deem appropriate. A copy of the required proposed Ordinance and the associated inter-municipal agreement may be examined by contacting Howe Township Secretary Nancy Cangioli at 22 Cherry Road, Liverpool, PA 17045, or by phone at 717-444-3045. Due to COVID-19, masks will be required to be worn at the meeting and social distancing will be enforced. To reduce potential exposure to COVID-19, attendance will be limited to no more than a maximum of 10 people at the meeting site. Any pertinent questions regarding the purpose of this meeting will be read during the meeting and addressed.
